A six-digit product family is a useful starting point for research. It is not a substitute for checking the complete national entry. This guide walks through the Saudi source and shows why padding a short code with zeros can give an incomplete result.
ZATCA identifies its integrated tariff as operating at twelve digits from January 2025. Open the official tariff browser and search the product description or the known prefix. Read the complete result, including child lines, rather than treating the first matching heading as the declaration code.
The archived Saudi export lists several entries under 842410 for fire extinguishers. The broad 842410000000 row has no printed duty; more detailed rows distinguish products such as uncharged extinguishers and aerosol systems. That blank heading amount does not establish a zero rate. The examples below let you inspect a broad row and a more detailed row directly.
The Saudi export can carry numbered procedure identifiers. These are pointers to requirements in the official portal, not a complete explanation of permits or product conformity. Record the identifiers and follow their official documentation before treating the tariff lookup as sufficient for clearance.
Save the full code, product wording, source link and date of consultation. If a published amendment changes or removes the code, retain both the earlier observation and the later text while establishing which applies to the shipment. The date field in an export should not be assumed to be the effective date of every measure.
